01 Discovery Cape Cod
Been trying to sell ths on craigslist for a while. Only e-mail I get are for people just looking for a bumper.
Located in Pocasset MA 02556 Cape Cod
Only 65,000 miles.
Rusted out frame, the whole frame would have to be swapped its that bad.
Valve covers leaking and power steering leaking from line rubbing.
Little rusty in random places.
Brown leather interior.
Tires look new all around.
My mother in law owned this vehicle and her house is directly on the ocean her driveway is on her private beach. Thats the reaon for the rust. She brought it to the dealership for her normal oil change and inspection. They claimed the head gasket was blown because she was a qt. low on oil. They wouldnt let her drive the vehicle home because of the frame and tried to sell her a new one.
The vehicle ran fine and still does. she drove it daily and even drove it the hour to the dealership. It has never over heated or had any problem. This lead me to believe the dealership mechanics are idiots so I paid another mechanic to see if the head gasket was blown. I also idled the car for over an hour and didnt find anything wrong. Mechanic checked it out and said its just valve covers and steering line leaking.
Looking to get best offer and may start parting out if I cant sell it whole.

Asking $2500 but motivated and willing to take best offer. I figure I can spend 2-4 hours pulling key parts and then just scrap it and make atleast $1000 without too much effort (have been offered $1000 for bumper brush guard and headlights). Just trying to hold out and get a little more since she bought a new vehicle a couple months ago and I have plenty of storage.

I will take some next time I am around. The frame is absolutely not saveable. I am a welder thats the main reason it was originally brought to me. The interior is mint. I will post them here as soon as I get them.

Alright got a bunch of pictures. Maybe the frame is fixable now that I re-checked. One things for certain the best way to repair itwould be to pull the frame because you would have to pull the WHOLE rear end and you would still have a bunch of stuff in the way. At that point it would probably less time and money to just replace the frame.
I started it up and drove it around a bit. Power steering is a little noisy although the fluid is full I tried to work air bubbles out but it didnt stop the noise. Ran it for 45 minutes with about 15 minutes of driving around the parking lot and seemed fine.
