IT IS SOLD



This has been a tried and trusty winter beater for years but it has not been driven much in the last year and I think it is time to part with the beast. It runs and drives and actually runs and drives fairly well. It is however reaching a point of being too far gone to be much good as a daily driver. It could be restored but would more then likely make a better parts vehicle. Starting bid is $800 and that is the bottom line. If it does not sell it will be parted down here on Ebay and sold part by part. There are thousands in parts on this truck, so jump on it now.

The good:

• Nearly new Hakkapeliitta LT tires all around.
• Nice stock alloy wheels.
• Leather is decent.
• Has the locking differential which came on the 1987 model years.
• V8 runs strong.
• Four wheel drive works fine and transmission shifts perfectly.
• Frame is solid.
• No wobbles at highway speeds.

The bad:

• Dings and dents around most of the truck.
• Typical Rover rot around rear wheel wells, rockers, rear window, etc.
• Exhaust manifolds gaskets are shot.
• Just developed a small gas leak on one of the lines in the rear.
• Brakes are weak (think a caliper is seized up from sitting.)

So yes, she is a bit of a basket case, but as I mentioned it is a great parts or woods/mud truck. I would HIGHLY recommend towing this or flat bedding it if you plan on bringing it home from a long distance. Local drives would be fine but since it has been sitting, would hate to see someone get stuck half way home on a long cross country drive. Also, the state of Vermont does not title vehicles older then 15 years old, so since it is now registered in Vermont will come with a Vermont bill of sale and a Vermont transferable registration which should allow you to register this in any state. Locking differential? 100% locking? Or Center Diff Lock?

Not trying to critique, just curious, I'm not Rangey savvy at all

 

Center diff lock...would assume most people would understand in Rover world here.
