1995 Discovery LOW MILES Runs and Drives Great
Thinking of selling my Discovery, it's my daily driver right now but I'm getting another car and I'm not sure if its worth keeping both.
This is a unique Disco, for it only has 85,000 original miles, the lowest I've seen. Was driven by a family as a second or third vehicle so it only got a few thousand miles a year for a while. I daily drive it ever since I got it reliably. Yes it has typical Disco quirks, crap that doesn't work like rear wiper.
Not only are the miles low, theres NO rust anywhere!
Very recent stuff:
- NEW tires just 2k miles ago, Grabber AT2's in 245/75, excellent tires in all conditions, light truck and severe snow rated
- Alternator was rebuilt by a local specialist, not a cheap chain store "rebuild"
- Replaced coil, air filter, also have new wires and plugs I haven't installed yet
Comes with brand new Terrafirma Pro Sport medium duty lift, cost almost 600 bucks. Haven't installed it yet, but will be installing soon if I decide to keep it.
I'm thinking $3500, thats about what it's worth to me, especially since I just spent $1300 on the tires and the lift, and it's so low miles, and rust free. I'm located in Trumbull, CT 06611
(The bottom two pictures have the crappy old tires, the top one is with the great new Grabbers)

I lucked out on my 2000 D2, she only had 93000 on her when I bought her for only $3600. Head gaskets done, no leaks, super clean engine, body and interior. She even had the LR info pouch with VHS videos... Lol

That's awesome! My dream is in a few years when they depreciate more to find a similar deal on a LR3 aka disco 3... I love those things.

Just wanted to add (a friend reminded me that this is important to note on these trucks) the diff lock works perfectly, it is NOT seized up like most of these are at this age. It's extremely smooth actually, and takes a mere flick of the wrist to lock it up.

I can text or email more pics from my phone if your interested. Yes the paint is faded, I've seen a thread on here where someone polished theirs back to a nice shine.

Bump, I ended up installing the lift and have been driving it on the weekends, thinking about selling it again. It's fun and unique but I'm thinking I'd like to get a Volvo XC90 and I don't need 2 SUVs...
Has 87,500 miles on it now, tires are still in new condition, 95% tread. I'll try to get some new pics up soon.
