After being out of the country for 3 months I come home and start the XD, fires right up and runs fine.....for about 2 weeks. I changed the oil and filter, everything is good, then it starts to make funny noises after driving about 5- 10 miles, like a low octane/valve chatter when going up hill. Then yesterday the noise got really bad on the way home from the store 10 miles away, got to the one mile hill up to my house and it got to knocking so bad I shut it down and had my neighbor come down and tow it the rest of the way. It looked underneath like it was blowing oil all over the place.
Check the oil today, looks full but I see water (coolant) in it, also looks like oil was being pressured out under pax side valve cover.
I don't really want to go the expense or trouble of fixing this one, as I have another 97 Disco that does not need anything fixed (at this time)....we need a dependable daily driver other than my 64 Dodge 330.
The XD is in good shape other wise except for a couple of body dings (see photos), exhaust manifold leak, a few oil drips from drive train.
lnterior is nice, no rips or tears (non smoking car). Power windows all work Glass is all good. Good wheels, tires, bakes, radio, lights, most everything works.
Car is location in Bullhead City AZ, across the river from Laughlin NV, 85 miles south of Las Vegas NV.
Any interest in buying the whole car or maybe some people here would want the parts.
Dang I wish you weren’t on the opposite side of the country from me. I’d like a second D1 with some character. How many miles on the clock and got any photos of the rear cargo area and frame/axles?
Interested in this also, I have a bunch of Rovers and I restore them for my collection, let me know if you would and let’s see what we can work out..

$1500 for the XD. The mileage is right about 138k, there is absolutely no rust anywhere on it. Clean AZ title in my name. Interior is very nice, so is the rear compartment. I get more photos tomorrow and post here.
