Looking to sell my '01 Land Rover DII LE. It's been a trusty and durable vehicle, but I need something that can tow my racecar and would be more suitable for long road trips (Looking at X5 4.6is currently). My father bought this one as a dealer demo in 2001 and I traded him a BMW for it in 2009. About a year after he bought it someone ran a red light and hit it in the RF corner, but it was repaired at Black and Fuller Collision in Austell, GA and I have no complaints, it shows really well. I drive it a few times a week, mostly to work and back and to haul mountain bikes around when needed. The interior shows some wear and tear, as you would expect from a 16 year old truck, but overall I think it's in above average condition. I would like to sell the Disco to someone who is familiar with Land Rovers and will use it as it's intended to be used, I planned to build it into a trail rig eventually but I just have too many other hobbies to devote any significant amount of time into making the Land Rover what I want it to be. Overall it's in better than average shape I'd say, but it does have a number of smaller issues you'd expect from a D2.
Recent Maintenance:
-F & R EBC brake pads/SS brake lines/OEM brake reservoir
-Head gaskets- full kit including new head bolts, valve cover gaskets, and coolant seals/O-rings
-Timing Cover gaskets
-Oil pump gears
-Water pump/gasket
-Radiator
Known issues-
-Lower cowl panel broken- super common Land Rover issue, this may be fixed before sale if I find one locally
-Steering wheel worn (only top section of leather- see pic)
-Small water leak @ top right corner of windsheild
-Headliner stained from above issue and a little dirty in other places
-RF window regulator sticks sometimes going down. Goes up just fine.
Understandable. I will say, I would love to sell it locally. I live near East/West Connector and Macland Rd. in Marietta and am frequently in Smyrna, I have family that lives just across the railroad tracks from Market Village
