I promise I am no expert. They are worth as much as a normal Disco then I would say add a grand or so for it being a limited edition. IMO $9K is very reasonable if it's in great condition and with less than 100K miles, and especially if a Kalahari is what you wanted. I'd wanted a yellow Disco for as long as I can remember so the sentimental value was high for me.

What color is yours? Post up a pic.

 

There is a guy in Dallas, TX selling a Kalahari. Yellow on black LR rims with black interior. It looked in good shape. I didn't drive it because if it was in good shape I wasn't ready to part with the $12,000 he is asking. But he said he hadn't had many lookers so he might be willing to sell for less.

I can get his number if anyone wants it. The truck had a full set of decals, racks and lights.

If you're talking about ^this^ one, that is NOT a Kalahari, it is an XD. All Kalahari's are 2002 DII's, All XD's are DI's.

....it is nice though, but not worth the $12K asking price

 

Lol, wish it was just that easy. My 1967 cougar xr7-gt has a kbb of something like 7k. Totally stock and original with dealer installed air. Turn the air on at an idle and it would kill the engine... lol. Got 12k for it. Collectors are a crazy lot.

Like I said I didn't look at it long so I wouldn't start thinking about buying it. I like buying things that need a little too much attention sometimes.

I didn't think it was worth the 12K either. But the guy selling was firm on the price.

I still think its a cool looking truck too.

The Kalahari is basically an homage to the XD. I painted my rims black, added the roof rack and "Camel Trophy" stickers. Here's a good side by side comparison....Kalahari 1st, XD 2nd.

I don't know what it is about the yellow but it is friggin sexy on a Rover.

That guy is nuts if he thinks he's getting $12K out of that XD that has 150K. Only way he'd get that is if it had 50K miles and was immaculate.....he needs a dose of reality.

Looks like it's been wrecked (front pass fender repainted and light is off kilter)....Just wait him out and get him to come down to about $7K, then you can jump on it
