FEATURES

PAINTED AA YELLOW (BORREGO)
A classic color for a classic car. The yellow color used off and on by Land Rover as a color choice for certain model launches was made famous by the Land Rover Discovery that won the Camel Trophy in 93'. Since then the Yellow color has become a signature color for a few special editions of the Range Rover and Discovery models.

YELLOW STICHED BLACK ASH OXFORD LEATHER
Another special feature of this 2002 Range Rover was its unique seating package that stands out with its unique patterned black ash Oxford leather which comes across as is very smooth, pliable and softer that typical leather seats. The stand out here is the accented large yellow stitching on the seats, gear shift, and steering wheel. This stitching and leather pattern isn't available on any other Range Rover. It's a bold luxury statement copied later by many luxury automotive brands.

ORIGINAL 18 INCH COMET WHEELS
The Comet style wheel was a very rare wheel for a Range Rover. Many still try to find these original rims to complete their restoration. Came standard with the Borrego edition, otherwise a pricey upgrade for other Range Rovers of that year. It's not a flashy wheel but holds it's own against the bold yellow.

SUPER RARE
How rare is super rare? Try 100 trucks out of almost 170,000 P38 Range Rovers ever made. That means that 0.05% of all P38 Range Rovers were Borrego Editions! With the handful of Trek and Vitesse included you will only find 0.1% P38's were EVER painted yellow from the factory. Truly a special color for Land Rover! Moreover, with even limited research on the web, you can find that at least 10+ Borrego has succumbed to accidents or the crusher, making this even rarer.

WOOD GRAIN ACCENTS
A Walnut wood runs around the console and as accents on the interior door paneling. But in what's unique to this edition is the wood placement on the steering wheel. The wood combined with the Black Ash Leather and yellow stitching is something to behold. You really love holding the steering wheel of this Rover. Often overlooked as something special about this edition but when you see it you will realize it stands out in a good way.

TOP OF THE LINE
This wasn't just any Land Rover. This was the last model year of the P38's (1994 - 2002) and because so it's the most reliable. Land Rover wanted to make a statement this car by loading it up with every feature possible... Sunroof, navigation, heated seats, tilting side mirrors, and more! This was one of the most advanced cars on the road in 2002 combined with the limited make set its price at royal levels, an incredible $72,600 ($95,000 in 2016). Truly a top of the line car.


SERVICE
This Rover has been ENTHUSIASTICALLY and PROFESSIONALLY maintained and serviced. Over $20,000 has been spent over the last 6 years to make sure this Range Rover doesn't fade into history.
ENGINE

A major engine overhaul with a Head Block Replacement and sleeve. This included brand new gaskets (oil, head, downpipe), rod bearings, head bolts, timing cover, spark plugs, Piston Rings, Knock sensor, Freeze Plug, Heater Core O-Ring.

EAS SUSPENSION
Unlike most P38's still out there this hasn't been converted to ring suspension. Instead of keeping with the original build of the car it has a rebuilt air suspension.

Including new: Suspension bellows, Air springs, Level Control Unit, Suspension Filter, Suspension Driver, O-rings, EAS Valve Body, EAS Pump Assembly.


REGULAR OIL CHANGES
This rover has had an oil change every 4,000 miles or 6 months at a certified Land Rover Specialist.
SMOG CHECK

Recently replaced the Primary Oxygen System when Catalytic Converter failed to pass. Otherwise, no issues passing SMOG.

AIR, POLLEN, TRANSMISSION FILTER
The Air filter, Pollen filter, and Transmission filter have all been replaced.

FRONT AND REAR BRAKES
Both the front and rear brakes have been replaced less than 18,000 miles ago.
CONDITION

This isn't a show car that sits in a garage all day and barely gets used. This Rover goes on adventures. From Yellowstone to Joshua Tree to Laguna Beach it's purpose is to take you on journeys far and wide. A Range Rover that's been around for 14 years is bound to show some distinguishing marks. Below are the minor cosmetic issues.


NICKS AND SCRATCHES
Overall the paint is in excellent condition. But there are a few blemishes. Only a couple millimeters large they've been treated with touch up paint to prevent rusting. There are also a few small interior scratches on the wood of the dashboard.


DOOR HANDLES
The door handles are probably one of the most used features of the car. So it's not surprising that they've started to show some age. You can see the black paint on the handles breaking down from sun damage and wearing down.


ROOF UPHOLSTERY
The roof interior fabric is starting to droop down. As a non-smoker, this is likely due to age and the California heat. It's more prominent in the rear and has yet to obstruct any views.
