Default 2004 Discovery 2

Hey all, going to list up one of my 04 Discos to make budget for my wallet eating 93' LWB project.

It's an 04 Adriatic Blue on tan SE without the rear jump seats. Current paint has very few blemishes and has been compounded and polished, and protected with 2 coats of ceramic coating. Underneath I bought it incredibly rust free, thanks to being kept down south. I went ahead and treated any surface corrosion and then coated with POR15 and put raptor liner on the body for sound deadening. The front right fender has a small blemish from an offroading expedition, and the rear bumper has a crack on the left side. The dash has a bit of a curl from sun on the center, but it is not very noticeable.

I have already ordered a good uncracked rear bumper as I tried fixing the cracks a few weeks ago and ended up cracking it once again standing on it haha! The new rear bumper does NOT have parking sensors, currently one parking sensor is missing so the system is not functional. If you would like to keep the old bumper on, let me know! The front bumper is an ARB that's been Raptor lined, has room for a winch and 4 light mounts, the amber lights are in great condition however they are disconnected, and I previously had them simply plasti-dipped black. I am not a fan of the orange, however for the listing I took that off.

Drivability is absolutely great, no weird wobbles/noises/vibrations/clunks, the truck runs at a solid 190F at a max, no lights on and no 3 amigos. The 4.6 runs incredibly smoothly with no issues, new plugs and plug wires, obviously no overheating or oil consumption issues. Everything in the interior works, and it has an aftermarket radio with bluetooth and charging.

Mechanically the truck is absolutely perfect, lots of time and care have been taken to make sure it's a viable inclement weather daily driver for my family, mainly snow and the occasional trip to Northern Wisconsin. Sunroofs do not leak, it seeps the slightest amount of oil but never leaks anything onto the driveway. I believe the oil is coming from the power steering lines.

It has had within the past 1.5 years:

Both head gaskets with resurfaced heads
Best4x4 PCV mod
Oil pan gasket
manifold gaskets
New battery
Water pump
Power steering pump

Within the past few months:
Top water hoses
Radiator
Water pump
Expansion tank cap
Thermostat
Vacuum lines

New drilled/slotted EBC brake pads and rotors
Brake fluid power bleed/flush
New upstream o2 sensors
New catalytic converter Y-pipe (P0420)
New spark plugs
New spark plug wires
New coil packs
Transmission fluid and filter replaced
Front and rear differentials serviced
Transfer case serviced
Front driveshaft replaced
Upper and lower ball joints
Tie rods

And within this week:
Air filter
BMW Blue coolant flush
A few random speakers that were blown out replaced with Pioneer speakers
New Gates belt

Tires are around 5,000 miles old, they're Yokohama Geolandar ATs. Work great in the mud, wet grass, rocks, and especially snow. They have the severe weather snowflake rating to be as good as a snow tire. This has always been a contributing factor in my decision in purchasing a set of tires, every tire I buy has this rating and has held up great in very bad snow.
I do oil changes every 3,000 miles with Pennzoil and have been using Mahle filters.

It has always started first try, hasn't even had a check engine light since I had the catalytic converters done. Overall have been very happy with this truck, and I'm hoping someone else can be as well.

If you have any questions about it, give me a message on here with your phone number and I'll happily talk to you about it.

Currently at 146,900 miles, going up slowly. Asking $9,000 OBO

Cheers,

Rob

Also, sorry about the fuel gauge - a new sender was installed as well. All working now!

Dude, I am all about this car. I have the S model in the same color and love the combo. You won't have hard time selling it, but if you do, I'll PM you ;-)

Great looking car! I’m super interested but I’m new to the forum and can’t send you a direct message for some reason- probably because I’m new. Can you send me a message with you contact info? I’d love to discuss over the phone. Thanks.
