We're thinking about upgrading to a newer SUV to do long distance camping. So, anyone interested in my 2006 LR3 with 160k? It has the HD package with locking rear differential and full size spare, also has the cold weather package.
Overall in good condition, everything works. No accidents, floods, or anything like that. Engine and transmission are strong, drives nice. Exterior and interior are good, no dents or major scratches, just normal wear.
Last week I did the oil change and noticed some minor oil leaks in ps rack, front and rear driveshaft area, not sure if these need repairs or just top fluids off occasionally. I haven't had to top off any fluids in over a year, so leaks are probably pretty slow. Drivers seat has a small hole on the side, about size of pencil eraser, and the armrest is worn. The AM button on the radio is missing. Just trying to list everything for your information.
I just put new brake pads and rotors all around, and fixed the sunroof drains. Tires are Goodyear duratrac, plenty of tread life. Battery is good, had that tested at start of winter. Paint is pretty good, I wax it regularly and did a full polish two years ago that still looks good.
Asking $7500. Vehicle is in Tucson, AZ. Thanks for your time.
I just paid for a vehicle inspection at the local LR specialist, falconworks.
Falconworks suggested that the rear driveshaft be replaced soon. These run about $300, and its accessible easily under the truck. Longer term, they recommended preventative maintenance of fluids change and change out some of the plastic parts in the cooling system because they can get brittle over time. They weren't too concerned about the minor oil leaks mentioned in the original post. There were some other little items like cleaning battery box and tire noise (only due to aggressive tread pattern).
Anyways, that's what I know. Would like to see the vehicle go to someone who will use the vehicle offroad, where its designed to be. I'm getting a lot of local interest from people who just want a vehicle that looks good for their shopping runs.
