91 RRover classic. Positive aspects: I rebuilt the engine about 50,000 miles ago, new rings, new rod and main bearing inserts, new camshaft insert bearings, new timing chain/sprockets, valves ground in, and guides replaced,".015" shaved off heads, by machine shop, to enable fitting of new composite head gaskets. Engine runs very well. Previous owner had xmission rebuilt, so I have never had a problem with it, or with the Borg Warner gearbox. Runs well, without problems. Negative aspects: Vehicle has around 200,000 miles on it, VC coupling froze up, and is still in vehicle, so I removed the front drive shaft, so no damage occurs to center gearbox or to front drive train parts. Heater core replaced by me about 80,000 miles ago, and it started to leak again about a month ago, so I plugged heater hoses. Brake rotors need to be turned on lathe to true up, or better yet, they should be changed with new ones, because some or all of them are warped to some degree. I am in Oregon, north of Salem, and am quite sure that I will soon buy a LR Discovery I am looking at. IF I do that, I will sell my 91 RR classic that runs well, but needs aforementioned attention.
