Friend who is a mechanic just got a D2 in from a friend of his who got it from an estate. He doesnt know what to do with it and said the guy only wants $1,500 cash for it. I checked it out quickly, its blue with tan leather, dual sunroofs, heated seats, no brush guard. My guess is it will need head gaskets soon although i can't be sure because i didnt look under the hood or drive it. If anyone has any interest let me know, i can take a pic of it if there is any interest and put you in touch. Not a bad deal and you might be able to come with cash and get it cheaper don't know... if i could convince my old lady we had the room i would take it and part it out (mostly for parts for my POS)

UPDATE: here is some updated info as i got a better look today. It needs a throttle body gasket it shows some leakage. not sure about head gaskets but my guess would be within 5-10k miles. it is an SE7 has the jump seats in the back and the hydraulic step. no ladder. its missing the two passenger side seat control button covers. the electronics are all there just the covers are MIA. its needs a windshield and since i looked at getting one it is $330. It has a dime size hole in the driver side seat (see pic below) overall i didnt see any dents anywhere. The paint looked good. It doesnt have SAI. The headliner is starting to sag on the passenger side. It was towed in becuase its not registered or insured, it had no coolant or fuel in it and the battery was dead. the battery was replaced, coolant was added this morning.. still need fuel so I didnt go over to hear it run yet.

Damned that, do you guys not get 3 free windshield/crack repair replacements a year if you have full coverage up there?

 

cant tell u i don't have full coverage. but that was a heated windshield so its more like $700 to replace it if you want to replace it with another heated.

 

In south carolina it doesn't matter if your wind shield's made out of gold. If an insurance company wants to make money here and we all know they make plenty. They have to offer 3 free repairs/replacements a year and cannot hike your premium even if you use all 3. Its your choice if it gets repaired or replaced also not the ins companies. I guess I'm spoiled and had no clue how much they cost.
