Hello Group - apologies in advance if this thread is inappropriate, this is my first time on the forum. A few months ago, I purchased a beautiful '99 Discovery II with about 130K on the clock. She runs well, no major leaks, does not overheat. No major rust, 4x4 works well, steering, suspension, engine and trans all in great shape. A/C is good, lights and even the headline doesn't sag. She has 7 seats in tan leather with black piping (front seats are worn, but no tears, rear seats in good condition). It also has the original tool set, good Optima battery, and bottle jack. Brakes and steering are good. Exhaust is good. I replaced the water pump and thermostat. No dents or rust on panels. Undercarriage is in great shape.

I was working on it for a couple of months to have as a fun weekend vehicle, but unfortunately due to health issues have to give up the project to another enthusiast. What the the truck still needs to be 100%: 1) left rear driver side window will not go up or down (I already checked the switch, wiring harness, and motor/regulator) - all seem fine, so needs more investigation. 2) Sunroof is inoperable. I suspect the previous owner caulked it shut and disabled the switch. 3) Driver's door lock inoperable by key. Door opens and locks, but key just spins. 4) The ignition lock is slightly loose, need to jiggle the key to start the truck, so may need attention or a bypass/replacement.

When I purchased the vehicle, it was from a guy at a body shop and he had it for a couple of years. He purchased from a customer who brought her in for an insurance claim. Someone keyed the entire truck and it needed a full body respray. The insurance company totaled the truck and the body shop manager bought her from the insurance company. The title will be branded "rebuilt" for this reason. Since taking her in, the body shop repainted the truck from its original dark green to a black (WD03 Mercedes Black). As you can see from the photos (it hasn't been washed in some months) the paint is very nice and glossy. He also painted the wheels to match and the spare (mounted on rear door).

I have $3200 invested in her and will take a reasonable offer to send her own to another enthusiast who will finish her and enjoy. I just don't have the means to finish her and my kids have no interest in keeping her. Hope she will find a good home. I live about 15 miles north of Philadelphia if someone is interested to come by and take her home. Thank you for reading.
