I just measured the bolts for the frame brackets on mine and they are 4" long not including the head. That would be roughly 10 cm if you are using a metric length.

Once I get my steering issue taken care of (baby death wobble) i'd love to jump on this! Install is simple right? One bracket goes to the Rover Frame and the other attaches to your steering rod? Will this cause any future problems when I go to get an alignment?

You got it.

It shouldn't, this doesn't do anything to affect steering geometry. One thing you may want to have done at your next alignment is rotate the rear tie rod 180° so the OEM damper bracket points up instead of down, and won't snag on unfriendly rocks.

I'm sure I have it in a box somewhere. Just moved across the country two weeks ago and am still unpacking a little bit at a time. If you don't mind waiting, I can let you know when I find it.

No problem man, take your time! So is that why you haven't been as active lately?

Yeah that's a big part of it.

I had several things on my plate - had to finish my last semester and graduate college, had to finish building a competition stereo in a C4 Corvette, and had to find a job. Once I found one, I had to sell three of my four vehicles (the Rover and the Nissans are gone ) and pack up and move from Idaho to DC.

I'm in the market for another D1 now, but I'm waiting until a really good one comes along. Yes I kept the bumper I built, and have no immediate plans to get rid of that. My main concern is that my apartment complex does not allow me to self-maintain my vehicle, so the ultimate factor in which vehicle to keep was which is the cheapest to drive. The Ranger passed that test with flying colors while still preserving most of the fun factor.

I still have to inventory which of my friends and relatives have garages they might let me use before I take the plunge. Frankly, the Rover is one of the most rugged vehicles I've ever owned, and is something I feel very safe driving. I will get another one when the moment is right. I have the money set aside but I want to get into the stride of my new budget before I go blowing money indiscriminately.
