Default FS: 1965 Land Rover Series IIA - to be featured on TV's Wheeler Dealers

There is no more capable on and off road vehicle than the famous marque of Land Rover. What we have created is a multi-purpose version that can handle everything from the most mundane of daily chores to the most outrageous heart-stopping outdoor adventure. This ultimate "Bug-Out" vehicle will keep you sustained and on the move, no matter what the emergency.

This Land Rover Series IIA was purchased from a Land Rover enthusiast. This truck is believed to have started off as a military ambulance and later converted to a military-spec pick up. We have since converted the body to a 2 door wagon configuration with a full safari top.

Basics Stats:
2.25 liter gas engine
4 speed manual transmission
black interior
green-grey camo paint scheme with white roof

Here are some of the repairs and modifications performed on this truck:
- converted to full body, 2-door safari top
- frame off restoration, but not nut and bolt restoration
- frame stripped bare then powder coated
- engine refreshed with new gaskets/seals and refinished to factory specs
- front and rear suspension upgrades including shocks and spring bushings
- all new custom brake hard lines front to back
- all new wiring front to back converted to negative ground
- updated dual fuel tanks
- completely new weather stripping
- radiator and cooling system reconditioned
- alternator conversion
- new partial exhaust system
- body prepped and camouflaged
- custom solar power system for auxiliary power
- custom self contained potable water pump and purification system
- custom roof rack system
- portable tent
- 9,000lb winch

Asking $37,500 OBO
This car will be featured in the upcoming season of Wheeler Dealers on the Velocity Network ... this is a rare opportunity to purchase a piece of reality TV show history ...
Please contact me for more info on the vehicle, the sale process or to schedule an appointment to view ... located in Huntington Beach, CA

We've lowered the asking price down to $30,000 OBO and are motivated to sell so we can finish taping and editing this episode ...
Too many pics to share here ... and a few aspects of the build I probably forgot to mention ... contact me with any serious interest ... truly a very cool and unique ride while remaining fully functional as a serious off-road tool ...
If Hollywood has taught us anything, the Zombie Apocalypse isn't too far off ...

More times than not, the buyer does end up participating in the show ...

We just sold a couple of vehicles and the buyers had a great experience ...

"Go on... 'old out yer 'and..."

I'm a massive fan of the show!

I own a Series 2A Rover similar to this. No matter how much mechanical work you guys have done on this vehicle, you're not going to get anywhere near your asking price with the bodywork in that condition.

Even a "finished" vehicle will struggle to make $25-30k. This looks more like a $10-15k Rover to me and $15k is a big premium to pay even if Ed China did have his magic hands all over it!

I went and checked out the rover this week. Gregg was a cool guy and very knowledgable.

The build is clean. The car was dead cold and started right up. They ran all new brake lines and wiring.

It's an ex MOD pick up they converted, so there were many challenges for them buying parts from the usual suppliers.

Gregg said they would include the original parts to convert back to a pick up.

The upgrades are cool. The pop up camper is attached to a super stout custom made mounting system, solar set up is clean, and the water purification system is functional for a mex trip!

Although they can't say, if you have watched the show I'm sure the buyer gets a cameo.

If anyone is interested I can go and do a walk around with the potential buyer on the phone.

Thank you for the kind words Abran ... it was a pleasure meeting you guys the other day ....
We take a lot of pride in what we build, and this build was definitely a fun adventure. Just wait until the episode airs later this year ... it is going to be a fun one!

Love the show.

That is a straight up ugly vehicle. Wouldn't pay 3k. Sorry boys. Easily one of the worst looking Rovers I've ever seen. Can't wait to see who buys that.
