Tongue and riser is set specifically for an LR3 so that the body of the carrier sits a few inches from the rear bumper and low enough to allow the rear tailgate to be opened.

With a large family and two large dogs in an LR3 a cargo carrier is a must if we are going anywhere. I had a buddy of mine weld it up for me after I destroyed a mass produced carrier out on a trail. It is all steel - no aluminum and all welded with no screws. Its heavy and its solid. I can stand on it while loading the roof rack with no problem.
