Default Looking for 99-02 4.0L V8 block (disco II)

Hey I'm looking for a block for my 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2 (4.0L V8). I managed to overheat mine pretty bad before I could get it off the road and warped it to the point the shop is not recommending I repair it, the head was salvageable.

If anyone knows of a block for sale or knows of a store/junkyard i should check out let me know, anything would help! I'm located in Eastern Canada and I don't mind paying shipping.

Cool 1999 4l block and crank

I have one that was line bored for crank .010 over. I also have the crank that has been turned for the block. I'll even throw in a new timing chain. I also have heads and a stock cam that has been ground and polished. I in Denver.

I have one in Colorado already machined and a crank to go with it. All you need is to drop in the sleeves. Line bored for cam and crankshaft.
Triemer1@hotmail.com if you want pictures.

I have a P38 4.6 block, it'll need to be washed and honed.

It has under 20,000 miles.

Make an offer..

Hey sorry this might sound pretty newbie but will the 4.6 block work with my 4.0L head? Is the pistons ok in the block or does it require new pistons after being honed? Just trying to get an idea of costs.

I have a 4 liter that's ready to go. I also have crank and camshaft ground and polished. Crankshaft is .010 over sized.
in Colorado. over $800 in machining already. Just make me a reasonable offer.

oh. When you said block I thought you meant bare block. It has nothing in it besides good cam bearings.

4.0 and 4.6 blocks are the same. So yes.

A bare block like mine would mean you would be building yourself a new engine. New bearings, new piston rings, and possibly a new cam.
