Mildly built 2004 DII needs head gaskets
#1
Mildly built 2004 DII - SOLD
After nearly 9 years of ownership, the needs of this old girl have exceeded my bandwidth. We love this vehicle, but it’s not the most practical for my growing family. And we already have one “fun car,” a ‘63 Galaxie convertible.
The truck needs some love, but it’s a really solid chassis and body (door dings and “pinstripes” aside.) Decent interior, a couple
minor rips and driver seat bolster wear. But lots of nice bits and pieces. It would be an awesome platform for an engine swap or as a parts source for a high-end build.
The good:
2004, and all the associated graces
OME 2” lift w/ Nitrocharger shocks and steering damper
Extended braided stainless brake lines
Aftermarket front driveshaft, with grease fittings
Safety Devices rack (modifications for RTT)
ARB front bumper w/ Superwinch 10K and synthetic lead
Dual interstate batteries w/ Cole Hersee isolation
Discrete rock sliders (look like factory rocker trim)
Heavy duty rear bumper, with recovery points
Buyer’s choice of 16” alloy six-spokes with Hankook Dynapro ATMs or LR factory steelies (which are near impossible to find)
Single jumpseat added on the passenger side
LOTS of other misc doodads and improvements
The bad:
2004, and all the associated trappings
Head gaskets are toast
Rear sunroof, INOP (stripped gear)
One or both sunroofs leaking
Driver’s door check strap attachment broken at body, but still stops the door
Power steering is marginal, no leaks, just poor performance at low rpm.
Rear power door locks are INOP
Typical mediocre headliner
Sale will include an Alpaca beige steering wheel in VGC (I gave up on trying to keep up with that color and resorted to black.) Also, bunch of misc spares and a set of 4 Hella Rallye 4000s that need a little love.
$4000, or best offer. Located in Denver. Drivable for local sale. Wouldn’t chance more than a couple hours drive. 303.335.7518
