I have no idea what the market for 20 year old Disco's is like in Canada but here in the tri state area around NYC that truck would be a $2000-$2500 truck at best. People sell '04 DII's for less that $5500 in my area.

Five years ago I bought a '94 with 86K miles on it. The CEL, ABS and SRS lights were on. Paperwork showed the SRS ECU was brand new. The battery had a drained due to a parasitic leak thanks to a bad radio. That triggered that light. The ABS light was fixed by cleaning and reseating one of the sensors. The truck had brand new brakes. The CEL was due to a single bad O2 sensor. Total out of pocket was under $100 and I had the truck registered, insured and through emissions.

The truck also had a roof rack (Thule), new genuine brush bar, new tires, new exhaust needing to be installed and boxes of new parts in the back. Tons of extras.

Bought it from a guy who called me. He said he was told I buy Rovers for parting. He said he couldn't deal with the truck anymore and it wouldn't pass inspection. We agreed on a price over the phone and I towed it away. Called my wife as I was leaving his property to tell her we just picked up another Rover for the winter. Total cost, $500.

For the purposes of your survey, I'm clicking the "No...too much" button.

Paul, I think you have your countries mixed up! Believe that's Australia... and that truck is RHD. I don't know if $5500 is USD or what, but I've never seen a D1 go for $5500 in anything but excellent shape.

I didn't see the pictures when I posted this morning. SA could be South Africa for all I know. Initially I thought it was in Sask.

Yes, we are in Australia. If this forum is mainly for the US, then I need to try elsewhere. Paul, for amusement, do a used car search in Australia...perhaps try carsales.com.au. You will be floored to see how much early 90's car sell for! Thanks for the feedback

yorocky, why should I check on prices for 20 year old Rovers in Australia? Aren't you the one who is selling the truck. If you're telling me you did your homework then why come here and ask us to comment on your pricing?
