Hi guys,
I'm new to this forum, however Im not new to how these forums work. I thought I would join you guys and start reading up on the ins and outs of these vehicles. 7yrs ago I purchased an FJ40 and 2 yrs after that I found the TLC forums that I should of join prior to my purchase. I could of saved myself thousands of dollars if I did. I'm not making that mistake this time so here I am.
I'm interested in a Defender to eventually replace my Fj40. Since I have only room for one toy at a time I have no choice to do so. My mind isn't set in stone for I don't know too much about these trucks, however I have an open mind to other vehicles but I do prefer the Defender series. Any input you people can provide for me and your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am aware of the Discovery series and not completely dismissing the possible purchase of one of those. My main reason for switching over is that I want a vehicle that is more comfortable yet still is strong enough for off road use. Dependability is a must as are locking differentials. I'm also interested in the achilles heel of these trucks. Please help!! Yes I should of posted in another forum but didn't know which one.
