I Haven't started pulling this one apart quite yet. You'll get first crack before it's pulled apart and stuff goes on you-know-where...
Overview: A Good 4.0 non SAI Engine. I Can’t see any unexpected leaks. Oil and Coolant are high and clean. No CDL conversion, but the transfer case does have a nipple. Transmission is a 85K junkyard replacement which apparently had some issue that the previous owner gave up on and why I bought the truck. I would sell the tranny as a core or a rebuild unit, otherwise I’ll go through it myself and offer it later. Front drive shaft is gone and the rear drive shaft is there. The rest of the truck looks to be pretty standard. Has all the normal Disco bits and pieces.
The truck was originally White Gold, and was poorly re-sprayed Kermit the Frog green. The hood is junk, the rear bumper has a great big crack in it. It has the later style headlights, although the driver has a crack in plastic near one of the top mounting screws and there is some poor wiring conversion that's taken place. I don’t see any leaks from the sunroof, but the passenger side screen is torn. Previous owners service records show that the Bridgestone Duelers (265/75R16) have about 10K on them sitting on graphite colored Typhoon wheels. They look to be a little better then 50% tread though. There’s some peeling on some of the wheels, nothing a scuff and re-clear probably couldn’t fix.
Off-road/Accessory Stuff: ARB front bumper, Safari snorkel, Front Skid plate and Rear Diff Guard. The Previous owner took the shocks but left the 2” lift springs. I have the factory shocks. Ladder is in great shape and only has a few rust spots on it. It has an Indiana brown interior which is mostly complete and in ok shape save the rear headrests.
No Radio, I haven’t taken the door panels to check for any other speakers or stereo components.
I'm located in upstate NY. PM me anything you need or want, and I’ll get a price back to you with shipping. We also have a 2000 D2 and a 1998 RR 4.6HSE we're currently breaking down. I’m willing to consider personal delivery on the east coast for bigger stuff or on large orders. USPS, UPS or Freight.
Thanks,
Brett
