These are all for a Bosch motor so it anyone is looking to put these parts on a DI or GEMS equipped P38 ('95-'98) they won't work.

It's important to know if these parts (especially the heads) are from a truck with secondary air or not.

Just my 2 cents.

these heads did come off a vehicle equipped with secondary air.
see pictures below.

they are not 4.0 specific however, they will work on any newer style engine that uses the 2 rows of head bolts.

i beleive the older gems motors used 3 rows and as stated above they will not work on them.

standonit i will get you a shipping quote tomorrow.

Actually, it more like heads from an SAI vehicle are really not designed to work on non SAI engines. It is not a matter of the number of head bolts securing the heads to the block. You can see in the photos you posted, SAI ports above the exhaust ports. You would have to block those off to get the heads to work on non SAI engines and I'm not sure how advisable that would be.

Regarding head bolts, late 3.9L and 4.2L 14 CUX engines adopted the ten bolt, two row design. ALL 4.0L and 4.6L engines, whether they are GEMS or Bosch, SAI or non SAI, have ten head bolts securing the head to the block. You can use 10 bolt heads on 14 bolt blocks with no adverse affect.

If you are asking me if I am interested in these heads, no, I am not. I must have over a dozen Rover heads from early 3.9L's to late 4.6L's sitting around the shop. I'm merely pointing out things I would have thought an old Land Rover tech would have been aware of. I just hate to see people buy the wrong parts for their trucks.

Good luck with the sale.
Cheers,
Paul
