Hey fish I'm doing my suspension very soon, what would one need these for? I'm used to BMW suspension. Ie. could you expand on running eye to eye and why it would expand selection. Thanks. I wonder if I need these is why I'm asking.

 

The stock shock Eye to pin style shock is an odd combo. If you're going with Terra Firma, OME you don't need to worry about the lower mounts. But if you want to run a longer shock, 10+ inches the lower mounts come in handy. Shock companies offer more shocks in an eye to eye style. And your better shocks like Bilstein, Fox, etc are only offered in an eye to eye style.
In other words keeping the stock eye to pin configuration really limits what shocks you can run.
