Default lowered rear shock mounts?

curious if folks are typically installing these with the 2-3" lifts?

im going to be putting my OME lift on soon, and dont have the "long" travel remote res. shocks... so i was curious whether the lowered shock mounts would be needed.
figured if they were needed/recommended id get them while i had everything apart since i need to do the brake lines anyway.

this is the setup specifically...

If you want longer travel, go with something besides the OME Nitro shocks. I'd look very hard at the Terra Firma +2" shocks. Save the money on lowered shock mounts and but longer bump stops to keep your wheels from rubbing the inside of the wheel well and to keep your shocks from bottoming out. With the OME shocks and 32" tires, your tires will rub the wheel well long before your bottom out your shocks. In other words there is a fair amount of wasted uptravel with the OME shocks. They are fine, unless you want longer down travel.
If you really want the lowered shocks mounts Lucky8 has the Terra Firma ones for $114.

Exactly what lift, by part numbers, are you installing, be specific as to the coil number.
You most likely do not need t change your mounts.

I think I may have misunderstood the question. Lowered shock mounts are not typically installed with a 2" lift. IME the lowered mounts are most often installed as an afterthought by someone wanting more downtravel out of their OME shocks. Just because someone has "long travel remote shocks" doesn't mean they will necessarily be using lowered shock mounts. Once you get outside of the standard 2" OME lift and start exploring long travel shocks there are a lot of variables that come into play. Take a look at the Terra Firma catalog. They offer normal, lowered, raised shock mounts/towers, dual shock set-ups, etc. It becomes very personalized with what you want to achieve.

The compressed/extended length of your shocks are this:
60037(front): 12.9/21.77"
60039(rear): 13.62/22.04"

So no you don't NEED lowered shock mounts. You may WANT them however to get more drop from your rear shocks.
I would say install them on the stock upper shock mounts. If you decide you want more drop later on its an easy install.

cool, thats good info!

as itll be a bit before i get to buying the brake lines and finding time to lift the truck, i may just order the mounts and get everything in all at once anyway.

You plan on ditching or disconnecting your sway bars?
Do you already buy the shocks? If not, it would be more economical to just buy longer shocks than to buy the OME shocks AND the lowered mounts.
