head gaskets done yet? it's worth about 10 if the head gaskets were done.

Hilltopersx,

The service history I have doesn’t show that the head gasket has been done.
As far as I know & have researched this service is usually done at/or over the 60K mile mark.

I know my truck is right around the 60K, but like I mentioned on ExPo: Adventure and Overland Travel Enthusiasts I would recommend that the future buyer perform this service within the next 5-8k.
I would say you’re wrong on your $10,000.00 evaluation, most Discovery II’s in this mileage and with these options are well in the $13K - $16K.
Although accessories don’t add any value, I believe my asking price is very fair as your getting a good deal plus the accessories that 80-90% of enthusiasts would do.

With that being said, a future head gasket service would be a very minimal expense as a buyer would already have a extremely low mileage Discovery II with a fair bit of high end parts.
I’m sure the buyer will see this point and clearly make the right decision.

Seriously? $12k? There's a big difference between asking price and selling price...even on a low mileage truck like this. Oh, and BTW, off road mods to a vehicle usually detract from the value, not add.

Any smart buyer immediately starts wondering "How hard was this truck beat on?" as soon as they see winch bumpers, lifts, etc...

Ed is right on the money with his assessment that it should probably be valued at ~$10k. If it wasn't for the low mileage this would probably be worth even less...but hey, you know what they say in the car business? "There's an @ss for every seat." Maybe you'll get lucky and find someone who doesn't know any better. GLWS
