I have a mint one from an 03, I believe the 4 and 3 are the same

Where are you at? would you need both top and bottom or just the bottom? both are in mint condition, but wondering for shipping

I recently needed an airbox for my 500.00 wonder, and I just went to a junk yard and picked up a flawless 4.0 intake tube and airbox lid for 20.00 total.

 

So the 4.0 box fits the mass air meter, fender intake, and everything else the same then?
Does it use a different filter than 03/04?
I had read this before, but couldn't find a definate answer.

Well I had a spare 4.0L MAF housing so yep the actual sensor drops right in. So if you get the intake tube, MAF housing, and the lid from a 4.0L it is 100% PNP. Lower airbox is the same & it uses the same filter.

4.0L lid is slightly stronger as it’s not as thin as the 4.6L units. I’ve seen them broken before yes, but vs a 4.6L = no comparison.

 

Not sure if I have another 4.0L MAF housing laying around, but if I do you can have it. Just gotta check when I get home.
