It's a fun drive but remember to take your time and don't push too hard once you get farther north. For perspective its about the same distance from Seattle Wa to Orlando Fl as it is from Seattle to Anchorage. The Glenn Highway (your last stretch into Anch) is twisty as heck so don't do it if you're really tired. The first time I drove up there I took 30 days (Orl to Anch) and it was a blast then I did it in 6 and that was no bueno.

This is the trip I was thinking about, I would like to caravan ,but I would like to go much slower and take the 30 days.

I was also thinking about a Caravan Down the Baja Peninsula to Loreto and maybe Cabo. Need at least 2 or 3 vehicles to go. I hear it is remote in some places but Safe "if you not stupid or showing off". That is a quote from an article I read.

When I was considering having my truck shipped from NH to Alaska the only fusible way the shipper could accomplish this was to ship my truck to WA then put it on a barge to Anchorage. The price to ship my truck to WA was just under $2K but factor in the barge and that was roughly $2,500 thus the grand total would be closer to $4k. I dont know if there is a difference between the barge and the ferry that commute between WA and AK so maybe it might not be as expensive with the ferry. Do you have any links to the ferry service you speak of? If so Id like to call them. I would not be opposed to a shorter TreK from NH to WA then take a break and ride the ferry the rest of the way if it was cheap enough.

Looks like you'd have to take 2 ferries to get to Anchorage, then drive the rest of the way.

Depending on the cost I would not mind even with 2 ferries. Once I get to Anchorage..... You could not pay me not to drive from their to Seward because the Anchorage/Seward highway is one of the most beautiful roadways Ive ever seen and I cannot wait until I reach it with my Disco.

Just contacted a ferrie service in WA and they said they only have one more spot left for a vehicle and it would cost $1,114.00. They are booked all the way into May because supposidly many Alaskans are returning to AK.

Just drive, you may only do it the one time but it will be worth every mile.
