It's my Disco One Year Anniversary!

I bought Irma one year ago tomorrow (August 19, 2008).

Awwww.....

I've attached two photos of Irma right after a bad ice storm in Feb. here in Jerome. She got me up the hill when even the Fire Department couldn't make it in their brush truck! Doesn't look bad from the photos, but Jerome was closed until 11 am that morning because the roads were solid ice.

Yay Discos!

Congrats although I don't know what an appropriate gift is for a one year, land rover anniversary... prob some sort of hose or gasket?

At this point, brake pads seem like a great one year gift....

Aww, how nice Annie.
Good thing you were raised in snow country huh?
Congrats on your 1st year together and may you have many more.

Congrats Annie! My Anniversary was in June, 2 years now. Many more to come! My first year gift was resealing the front cover and a timing chain set. Second year was +4 plugs and Magnecor's. Hopefully the third year will be tires/lift? The rig seems to have these things planned out for me. Gotta love her, though. Good times.

I've celebrated so many things with my Disco in the past year....she started off by giving me a new drive shaft, then it was on to new ignition wires/spark plugs, recently it was the IM and serpentine belt. Now at one year, it's brake pads and front rotors.

Sigh. The romance never ends...

Didn't have this kind of relationship with my previous vehicles. It's a give/give bond, not many people in my life understand and wonder why I keep the Rover.

I give her new parts and she gives me memories / experiences in places these people have never been. If they have been nice, I take them with us on outings :-)

I have yet to really take my Disco out...I REALLY need new shocks and springs. Maybe that will be my 1.5 year anniversary gift...now all I have to do is find another job.

Congrats Annie. I celebrated 1 year with my Rover back in July out on a trail, the way it should be.

BTW - My truck has been named Beatrix by my friend's 2 year old daughter. I tried to change her mind but the name is permanent now.
