Fishing trip
On the first weekend of June I went on a fishing trip with the lady and 6 other buddies. It has been a 650 km trip. We had to do 50 km on a dirt road to get to the camp, and to every lake we went to. Dirt roads were in really bad shape because there was still snow 3 weeks ago in that area, and they didn't have time to level the roads properly. I almost sent my truck in the ditch twice because the rear end was sliding down into big ruts and wasn't following the front, sending the truck sideways. Unfortunately the lady's camera wasn't working so I had to borrow pictures from other people with us.
This is the view we got the first morning when we woke up. It's the lake in front of the camp.
On the first day of fishing my brother caught a 14¾" trout. It weighted almost 2 pounds
When we got on the lakes in the morning it was looking like this. On the second picture it was really cold, almost -5*C. There was frost on the ground.
Throughout the weekend my Rover ran great, allowing me to go to hardly accessible lakes. Except a minor rod end/track rod incident all was good. It cost 136$ worth of gas, and the truck did 14.6L/100km which is 16.1 MPG. Not that bad considering there were very steep hills, very bad dirt roads were I've been driving no faster than 50km/h, the truck was packed on my way there (6 cases of 24 beers, 10 gallons of water and all my luggage and food for the weekend), and I got stuck in a traffic jam.

Thank you guys
Nights were really cold, when we got on lakes in the morning we were wearing winter jackets. It was only three weeks since lakes melt. It was also colder during days, barely possible to wear shorts. And loads of mosquitoes. I also saw two moose, a bear and numerous loons.
We did have a blast, it was our best fishing trip ever. We didn't catch a lot of trouts but they were almost all between 10" and 14"
