Bad day for project Ugly Duckling. I had all the arrangements made for delivery when I found out my parents don't want a vehicle that doesn't run parked under the carport, or anywhere around the house. Until I can find a storage place that where I can work on Ugly Duckling the project is on hold. I'm very unhappy with the start to this project.

You can store it at my place if it helps. Sadly its about 3000 miles away but there is room in the garage.

I have appealed to their logical side and trying to convince them that since the vehicle is free and the major parts I need to get it running are free it doesn't make sense not to get it. It is a classic after all. My backup plan if that fails is to just have it delivered while they're out and block it in with my Super Duty so maybe they don't notice it under the carport for a while.

Show them pictures of a couple that have been restored, then show them how much they are selling for on eBay, craigslist, etc,...That way they see it as an "investment."

Ugly Duckling is coming to it's new home tomorrow morning. I spent 3 hours helping get it ready to move and we were ready to hit the road when we discovered the trailer it is on was blocked in by stumps. The stumps have been removed, the trailer is out and tomorrow morning we'll hit the road for the 40 miles from it's current location to my carport. I'll get some pictures tomorrow. Forgot my camera today.

Project Ugly Duckling finally made it to my house and is now sitting under my carport waiting patiently. I've taken a few pictures so you all can see what I'm starting with. I have a new engine as well as a whole a whole bunch of other parts coming up in the fall to get it on the road. Can't wait to tear into this project.
