Zero dollars for that ARB winch bumper BABY!!!!

I bought a '95 that had sat for a year in a front yard parked under a pine tree with the ARB winch bumper on it.
Paid $600 for the truck, gave it a jump start and drove it 60 miles home.
Swapped that bumper for my OEM bumper.
Sold said '95 for $600.
It's good to be Spike.

That is one of the best deal stories I have ever read. Even though I have heard it before I can't help but say "damn he got lucky" every time I read this.

On top of that WHO GETS FOUR TIRES MOUNTED AND BALANCED FOR LESS THAN 30$????? I'm beginning to think spike is a myth. Much like the unicorn or big foot.
You live a charmed life my friend. You can scout a sweet deal.

Best add in the additional rotational weight of the steel rims when you do your next MPG computation.

When you buy $2,200 in gas a month at the small town BP with a service garage and tire shop they tend to cut you a deal.
Normal price is $10 per tire (carry in/out) plus $2 per tire disposal, they charged me $5 per tire plus the $2 disposal fee.
I carried the tires and rims in, swung by my house in the morning on my way out to my route and threw 2 rims and 2 tires into my van, dropped them off in the morning.
"No hurry on those Gregg, whenever you get to them" said Spike.
2 days later they were sitting outside one of the service bays waiting for me to throw in the back of my van.
So while I was pumping 30 gal of gas I rolled them to my van and dropped them off at home on the way back to the terminal.
Next day dropped off the other 2...
In the mean time I sent a e-mail to Trevor at Rovahfarm and got the lug nuts on their way.
Then I waited for Sat, using my floor jack jacked up one side, put them on.
Jacked up the other side...then rolled my alloys out to the shed and stacked them in the corner behind the bikes and junk.

My miles are already off! LOL!!!
Using my Ultra-Gauge it was a 16.6 mile one way trip into work, with the new tires, which are OEM size, my trip is now 15.4 miles one way.
WTH?
I will see what my MPG are in a couple of weeks, have been keeping track with the MPG Tracker app on my phone.
I was getting 13.4mpg, so we will see.
And yes, those solid steel rims are HEAVY.

Hmm.. I've been waiting for a SD low (no sunroofs) rack to appear locally for 3 years with no success. Perhaps, I am being too impatient...
