Oh the joys of parent hood...
My 18 year old son is going to trade his 1990 Toyota Celica with 212,000 miles on it for a 1980 Jeep pickup with the 4.0 straight six and 167,000 miles on it.
The Heep comes with a ton of extras.
Did I mention that it is 3.5 hours away?
Guess who he wants to help him make the swap with a car dolly.
Take a guess...I will give you three but the first two dont count.

Let me get this right, he wants to trade a barely broken in rice burner for something that doesn't have enough guts to free itself from chewing gum and is the only thing known to rust faster than a 70's Shuvme? That 4.2L Heep will drive him and probably you nuts trying to get it to pull itself with stock sized A/S tires and forget anything more than an A/T. I grew up in CJ's and they were most impressive with bald tires.
I think that I have him talked out of it.
I told him that he has to pay for the car dolly and my gas...round trip, I'm easy but not free.
So I think that has put that idea out to pasture.
I told him to just keep looking for a Toyota or Nissan pickup locally, one that he can go look at before buying/trading and that if he wants me to help look at it for him that I will, but it has to be closer than a hours drive.
