government job... only so much real work i can accomplish in one day.

 

I obviously need to find a government job. I'm good at being unproductive. Or is it counter productive?

 

well you are not rewarded for hard work. i can't get a raise based on performance, i cant get a promotion period. so you do what you have to do to not get fired. its like communism in that sense.

 

My job I get raises for surviving another year. No matter how well or poorly I do my job I get a raise at my anniversary date. It really sucks that people who never work OT or do anything other than the least required to get by the the same raise as I do.

I am crossed trained as both a ticket agent and ramp agent at the airline where I work. That means I can work anywhere I'm needed and I'm the only one at my station that is fully qualified in both jobs. Yet I still get the same raises as someone who can only do one job.

 

well at least you get a raise every year!! @ mine you get a raise every year for your first 5 years then thats it. your **** out of luck, unless you go find another job somewhere else in the government or the union can negotiate a new contract with raises in them.
