Wal-Mart
Ok, as much as I hate Wal-Mart they have the best prices on motor oil, I go to Pep Boys a few blocks down to get my oil filter but...right now at Wal-Mart if you buy a 5 qt jug of Pennzoil Platinum motor oil you get a $15 mail in rebate.
The 5 qt jug is $20, so after the rebate it is $5.
Not to bad of a deal.
My wifes car needs a oil change and I switched from Mobil 1 to Pennzoil because it was cheaper AND has the mail in rebate.
So Sat after work the Volvo will get 6 qts of Platinum and a Pure One oil filter and the total out of pocket will be $15.95.

Wal-mart saved my a$$ in my first big "stuck" a few years back with my Grand Cherokee> They had tow straps and a come-along, were open at 2am, and it didn't really seem to bother them that we were covered with mud and smelled like booze!
In case you guys didn't know, Walmart's brand of synthetic oil is either Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec. They just put their labels on the bottles.
I was looking at oil for my Ford at Walmart the other day. I was really disappointed when I noticed the Mobil 1 turbo diesel oil is still in 4 quart jugs instead of 5 quarts like everything else. That means I have to buy 4 jugs instead of 3 for an oil change on my Ford. I'm going to be cheap and stick with Rotella T but wanted to price out Mobil 1 anyway.

That is good to know, I have been using it to top off when I needed to.
If you smell the oil when you open the bottle and it smells like chocolate it's Castrol. If not it's Mobil 1. Walmart buys whichever they can get cheapest at the time so it goes back and forth. As long as it's full synthetic it really doesn't matter who makes it.
What were you having done at Walmart? What torque specs did they not have? Anything other than an oil change i wouldn't consider letting them work on my truck.
