Default White Shepard

My truck had a oil leak, I was loosing enough oil to have a Super Fund site at my house.
If I left the oil level at the "ADD" mark on the dipstick it would not leak.
But I am not one to run things at that mark, even though it is still in the "safe" area I would add a quart of oil every week.
For Christmas Vacation we went to our usual place.
So I bought a bottle of this...

I topped off the oil, added the White Shepard and then we drove for almost 200 miles.
That was 2 weeks and 700 miles ago, I have not had to add any oil since.
Thats my $.02.

Heck... if it can make a rover stop leaking, it must be pretty good huh?

It is one of the best oil/hydralic stop leaks I have ever used.

Hahaha....ROFLMAO!!!
Why track down a leak when you can take the easy way out?

It is the front main seal as well as the oil pan gasket.
I plan on fixing it properly this summer.
But no way in hell am I doing that in the dead of winter, and my truck wont fit in the garage with the SD rack.

Good to hear Spike. White Shepard greatly slowed down my TC case leak. Even after I resealed the inspection plate with Good STuff. I think the key to using it is you have to pour it in and go drive at least 50/100 miles. I tried the same fix with the transfer case about 2 summers ago and DID'NT drive it (only to the grocery store) it didnt stop the leak. This time I'm switching to 75w/140 gear oil. If its as thick as honey its harder to get through a crack right?

I'm going to do the main seal and oil pan this week in my heated garage. Gotta get pumped up and drink some coffee and listen to angry rock music to get motivated for "on my back oily messy fun". With jack stands/body lift I can almost sit Indian style under my rover. Not to bad.

I agree that driving it for at least a hour is the key.
Thats why I waited until our Christmas vacation, 190 miles from home to grandma's house so it had plenty of time to work.

It's great to have a Rover when you're going over the woods and through the river, or somthing like that.....
