Default Winch Talk

So i'm looking at winches for my newly acquired DAP hidden winch mount (thanx devildog) and i found a nice 10,000 lb Superwinch on Amazon. Anyone familiar with the web site Amazon should be aware of their free shipping with any order over $50. (I just had a great experience ordering my 60" hi-lift with free shipping!) So now i'm thinking of ordering the winch linked here

http://www.amazon.com/Superwinch-151...9157796&sr=8-5

Has some good reviews on amazon and i found a few on other off-road sites. any comments or suggestions for a good lad? before i go ordering this. thanks!

I was thinking you may want to get some grade 8 bolts for the bumper mounts.Nothing like having your winch come flying off.

There is no difference! They're both cold to the touch in all seasons and are a last-resort!

Drill the holes in the frame and winch mount out to 1/2", and use grade 8 hardware. I was looking at that winch too. Did you wind up ordering it? At only $100 more than a smittybilt, I doubt you could go wrong.

You're not buying my old arb off Brett, are you? Also, are we still on for Pines in 2 weeks? I'm going to call the ranger and reserve a campsite if so.
