Converting a Series III 109 from pick-up to 5 door station wagon
Hi all, I have had a Land Rover series III 109 petrol model (pieces range from 1970 - 1972) which I have been slowly fixing up. She's in pretty good condition considering but I wanted advice on whether or not to change her from a bakkie ("pick up" for the rabble) to a 5 door station wagon. I have no real need to but wanted to hear if anyone had done it and if they were pleased with the result. I use mine as a weekend camper and so the direction will either be to get a bin, doors and rooftop tent for a 5 door station wagon or to simply get a canopy for the the three door and put a mattress in the back. Let's hear it folks: I want some stories!
P.S. I am not a suspension man at all. Does anyone reckon my front suspension has failed based on the picture. I am getting parabolics at the end of the year so not too concerned.
