Default Series Restoration Question

Hello,
I am wanting to start a project to restore a Series 2a NADA 109”. The vehicle is not far from me but looks complete but is in tough shape. It definitely needs a frame, firewall and floor pans. The engine, transfer case, transmission are all original to the truck. My question is what constitutes a good restoration candidate? Are there any hard to find parts that I should be ensuring are there and in reasonable shape? I am aware I6 engine parts are not as available as the 2.25 I4.

I am going to perform as much work as I can myself and I am aware of the costs and don’t expect this to be done in 6 months

Sounds like a worthy project. I think most parts are available. When I did my 2A I had a spare vehicle for parts but those are a lot harder to come by these days.

There were only 811 NADA trucks ever produced, so anything NADA-specifc will be all but impossible to find. What # is the truck? There has been some 'confusion' as to what a NADA truck is, and several fakes have popped up over the years. VIN #s are between 34300001 and 34300811. You should confirm VIN on frame as a reproduction VIN plate can be had on eBay for $40. Ownership of 120 or so have been documented here-- https://forums.roversnorth.com/showt...-NADA-Registry
