My blower was replaced under warranty because it was making a lot of noise. It was interesting to see how easy it is to remove it. I've also fixed motors by cleaning up the commutator. But no progress has done so i call AIR CONDITIONING REPAIR CYPRESS.They are reliable and certified.

These forums helped me SO MUCH when I was driving mine. Happy to be a part of that...

I followed these exact instructions and they helped out immensely. Just to add to this thread from my experience...
This is my fan when I pulled it out for my 2001 Disco...
Pine needles in Disco fan. When you take apart the blower motor, don't forget to remove and clean the blower motor heat sink on the left side of the blower motor.
I took the blower motor apart and it was extremely dirty. I used Fabuloso the clean the fan cage which ended up looking great. I sprayed the hell out of electrical motor with contact cleaner.
I used Lucas Assembly Lube to lube the 4 areas in the electrical motor. I use this lube constantly on my client's Technics 1200/1210 turntable motors I modify.
