I just wanted to update on the SAI codes that have haunted my build since late 2012. 2 weeks ago I replaced the SAI pipe assembly (WAP000220) and the SAI solenoid (YDJ100000G) thus resolving/concluding the longstanding issue Ive had with the SAI trouble codes. At this point Ive replaced most all the SAI componets with new GENUINE parts:
- SAI pump (WIB100030)
- SAI flexiable hose (WAH100150)
- SAI reservoir (WIB00000G)
- SAI pipe assembly (WAP000220)
- SAI solenoid (YDJ100000G)
My conclusion: The pipe assembly that travels from the solenoid on the driver side, across the engine bay and connectes to the reservoir on the passenger side is made of plastic that over time becomes brittle and will likely snap in several spots. Easy to miss because the pipe assembly is partially encased in a plastic cringe material. Anytime your working under the hood especially with the upper intake manifold or just laying on top of the engine while working, pay close attention to the pipe assembly and ensure your not crushing it...
