I just ordered a couple of those 3M Stripe Off Wheels and look forward to using them. I have another car that needs door sill plates reattached so I can probably get double duty out of these eraser wheels.

Highly recommend using a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the trim pieces before attempting to remove them so you don't peel any paint off the fenders.

Patience.

Don't recall having seen anyone do that but it would be interesting to see just what is under there.

Here come the 'that's what she said' jokes....

That's what's she said.

I axed the running boards, the fake rock sliders, and the fender flares. But I've had my truck a very long time (since new, late 99).

Don't know what the weather is like today in Longview but maybe you could snap a pic or two and post 'em? Would be very interesting to see how the removal of all this cladding changes the look of the truck.

50 mph wind, rain, pea sized hail. Ugh.

I'll take some pictures this afternoon. Already left for the office.

Well, here is one from my brake work a couple of weeks ago. The dancing pig.

Thanks for the photos. Looks good. I'm going to do the tires/wheels first and go from there.

LR03NJ, would you like to volunteer and remove your running boards? I have a silver disco, too.

The silver bumper is cool, is that stock? Plastic?

HAHAHA! I removed the side step already so my wife won't bother asking to borrow my ride, she's short! The silver bumper is original color.

There are a lot of places that do vinyl wrapping these days. I planned to wrap mine in black vinyl because I have a friend who sells the products, so it's free to me. That said, wrapping the four pieces should be inexpensive to have done. Just another alternative to throw out there.
