In the high mileage service sticky, Disco Mike recommends 2 feet of 3/16 vacuum hose & 2 feet of 5/16 vacuum hose.
I've done everything on the list but that damned vacuum hose and it's killing my OCD personality! Yes, I do know how to use the search button but I can't seem to find a thing on the forum about where the hose is to be used.
I know that our cruise control uses some of it and there is some hard line between the brake servo & the intake manifold but...
Just frustrated that no one seems to have done this and posted some pics of where those 4 d@mn feet of vacuum hose go!
His was mainly for a d1 and kinda modified for a d2. Your cruise control is where the vacuum is at at and those are the lines. Most of the d2 lines are made for specific components and they can't use standard vacuum hose. I know where you are coming from though. It drove me bonkers. I searched and searched to no avail. The only other option is if you have secondary air on it, if so that's a different beast.
I'll take a look at the cruise control, that should be easy to update with new line. The secondary air looks like a harness of lines when you see them for sale on ebay & such. One of mine is broken so I might pull the group of them off and see if I can rebuild them with new lines once I assess the hose diameter and the attachment points. Pretty sure you can buy the attachment points on Amazon or in a local auto parts place.
I'm thinking i can recreate the factory harness for a little time & effort for a 10th of the price. If so I'll make up a parts list and shoot a few pics and post it.
