Btw, the reason i went to CT was to get the Safety Device roof rack and got it for 250. I will repaint the camouflage paint they used.

Bit puzzled with my overheating episode yesterday. Today, i drove it stop and go, traffic and back roads and my temp was 181 to 188.6 tops entire day and outside temp is 80 degrees. Still no coolant loss. Is this how a bad thermostat tricking my temps. Thanks

If the water pump was the problem it would've been a problem still today. Like Bom2oo2 said, the thermostat magically fixed itself. That doesn't seem unreasonable. But if it stuck shut once it's probably likely to do so again. Replace it and keep the old one as a spare.

X1 ............ stats are unreliable SOBS, mostly they work OK but sometimes they don't. Wax stats wear out with age, having said that, mine's 14 years old and still working OK.
