1 in every 10,000 Disco II's transfer case was filled with a special additive to prolong the life of the the case.

I think I am going to drop the tranny first before even trying to fix the engine on the newest DII addition!

Maybe I will find the money in the tranny to pay for the engine

Literally just did my transfer box and found the same copper pieces. I was alarmed but after inspecting the gears and reading this thread, I feel better.
