Might have found my problem haha

intake manifold was finger tight
found oil between the gasket. How did oil get there?? Suction should be going the other way.

Nice work!

Oil could be from the PVC system

The christmas tree thingy was super clean and intact. I replaced it with the Fram PCV valve about 50 miles ago. When I cleaned the valve covers I removed the plate inside of them and cleaned those thoroughly as well, so I doubt I have a PCV issue. Haven't checked driver side tube yet.

Lower intake bolts were also pretty loose, about 20 foot pounds. I'm super paranoid now that the crank bearing caps and connecting rods are loose. I might have to drop the pan...

I used ARP Fastener lubricant for everything except the upper intake. I'm thinking maybe that wasn't a good idea

Done the following:

- spark plugs (champion OE spec)
- fuel injectors and o-rings
- swapped britpart coil for a Bosch
- cleaned throttle body

Vacuum pressure at idle is still 13. Can anyone else post up their vacuum pressure?
Did a quick drive on a decent hill, possibly a little snappier, but I'm pretty sure if I go back on I-8 it'll be the same

Long term trims are around +5.5 on both banks. Kind of weird because every time I look at the short term trims, I am -3 to +3. What are yours?

Next step I'm going to be finish the transfer case rebuild and see what that does. Might be chasing a ghost with the engine. I think the increased gear ratio will just perfectly do the job to help me pull 4th gear on hills.

My long term fuel trims are worse than yours, but my motor is doing fantastic!

They are in the +7.1 to +7.3 range.

Before I solved my O2 ground problem and did my motor rebuild, they were pegged at +20.

i can test at idle tomorrow

25 is with the engine revving? I have about that as well.

Definitely interested in idle vacuum readings.

I've been using the SAI and the brake booster ports for convenience, but I think I should test it again on the PCV port. The manifold might be pulling air from the valve cover, lowering the readings. Or is vacuum supposed to be tested with the PCV system intact?

I tested the upper intake at the SAI nipple
