Default M/T Tires. What did you choose and why?

Choosing the tires for you truck, Imo, the hardest decision to make since there is so many of them and they are so damn expensive. I'm buying a set soon and can't come to myself to just bite the bullet and buy a set! What tire do you run and how do you like them, performance wise.

Right now, I'm looking at few different tires:

Nitto Trail Grappers - 315/75r16 ( True 35's)
$340
or

Treadwright 315/75r16 (35's, run a little big)
150$ per tire.

Treadwrights price is attractive, not sure how they'll truly perform and they are half the price of every tire out there in my size I'm looking for. The Nittos are a new tire, and most reviews are a bunch of guys in f250's that are lifted 20".

Gimme whatcha got and their performance.

as long as you get white walls, who cares about the brand!

Treadwright guard dogs, I like the tread design and the price couldn't be beat.

I have been very happy with the performance of the tires in all weather conditions and different terrains. So far the tread wear has been good.

Check out the Goodyear Wrangler Authority at WalMart...not sure if they have them in the size you're looking for though...awesome tread design, deep tread blocks, much cheaper than the Nittos...also, check out Pep Boys and their Definity Dakota MTs...

Don't have the Authority in my size. Not sure if treadwright offers a white wall though... nothing some masking tape and a can of spray paint can't fix

Anyone else have success with any other tire?

I like the old BFG m/t, but they chunk pretty hardcore out here in the west with the rocks. I'd still consider getting a pair of those. I'll go check the pricing and availability.

I bought the BFG M/T KM2's because I could get them in 255/85R16.

There aren't too many tires available in that size. Cooper has some, but they are A/T. There are some interco in that size. Toyo open coutnry m/t and maxxis bighorn mt also.

I wasn't willing to do that work or spend the money required to fit a fatter or taller tire.... because I'm lazy and cheap.

I like fab work, its fun. So swapping axle's to fit a large tire works for me. It'll be around the same price as the LR bolt on stuff, just a lot stronger, and I'll come out on top with a better suspension whilst I'm at it. Plus, I don't like buying bolt on parts... well, over priced LR bolt on parts at least.

I have the 315/75/16 KM2's and they run a little small. My next set will most likely be the Goodyear MTR Kevlar in 315/75/16.
