I have Nittos on my 03 Disco w/ 18's and love them. great on and off road. No Hummmming. No wobble.

If you have a wobble it sounds like a balancing issue

2006 LR3 SE V8 owner here. I've had the truck for almost exactly a year and have done 22.5K miles and already need new tires! From the looks of things I am not the only one unhappy with the stock Wrangler HP (at $279!#@!). I've read about the Goodyear Silent Armor 265 60TR18s. They look like an excellent tire, though my concern is the load rating. Jantiz, my owners manual states a load index of 112 for the 255 60 R18 H or V tire. The Goodyear SA is 109. Have you noticed any difference?

I've got Nitto Terra 285/60/18's on my LR3 and they've been great. No humming on the highway, great offroad, they've done especially well in the snow this winter too.

The maximum axle weight for the front is 3,197 lbs

The maximum axle weight for the rear is 4,056 - 4,134 lbs (depending on your specific model)

The weight rating at 109 is2,271 lbsper tire, giving you a combined weight allowance per axle of4,542 lbs, more than enough to safely handle your maximum weight needs, just in case you needed to tow that 30ft yatch and load all the gear in the back at the same time. Not sure why the manual quotes 112 for load rating because when you ask the tire shops to check into it, their computers correctly state 108 as the minimum for the LR3. The numbers don't lie. 109 is well within the load requirements for the LR3.

Have I noticed any difference? OH MY GOD YES! Get rid of those GY HPs quick. Almost anything you put in their place will be a 100% improvement!
