I've had a few friends with Firestone MT's and none of them were pleased with them. IDK.

on tirebuyer.com they have the highest rating under reviews and say there are great at everything besides ice but that doesn't always really mean there the best. Maybe the majority of the people that buy them don't really go off road besides a few gravel roads. But for the price and reviews not being bad i'm thinking of getting them unless I find a better tire. People seem to really like the BF Goodwrench A/t's but I don't see why the tread pattern is really close and they seem to be ok at everything and good at nothing from what iv'e read but then again iv'e never owned them. I have Firestone destinations street tires on my Disco right now and I'm really impressed what they can do off road besides the neck's I'm getting from gravel and rocks but again they are really just street tires.

When I was shopping for tires a few years ago I never understood why the BFG AT was liked so much. I went with the Goodyear DuraTracs instead and they were a great tire, great at everything but deep mud.

i run those bfg at on some of my work turds. in that case, they wear better than any other at tires I have used. they do not clean out well in mud well, at all. they perform well in all other conditions.
I ran a set on the disco for a while. fine for most off roading just not good in medium to light mud there either. but perfect for the work turds that see very large differences in weight with towing/hauling.
