The air tank on the DS needs to be protected, IMO.

The Sport, IIRC shares the same frame as the LR3 and it is a engineering blunder or **** poor quality control. None of the holes are spaced the same on the same side or on the opposite side and the body mounts are anywhere from 1/4 to 3/8" off from each other as well. I doubt I'll make another set of these. The sliders would have to have so much slop in them to allow for that kind of fit up and if this frame and sill panels are off that much I can only imagine how bad the next one could possibly be. Only 2 of the 6 sill holes per side have a capture nut. So the installer would have to drill a .525" hole and run a rivet nut on 10 holes.

From a fabricator stand point I can see this being a customer service nightmare. I guess this is why only one company sells the sport sliders and they are very spendy. Don't get me wrong, there is a ton of work that goes into these compared to a traditional frame or slider slider. But when you have to design that much adjustment into a product, especially on a slider, I don't see any good things from extended use.

Wow, that sucks about the mounting nightmare. I swear automakers do this stuff on purpose just to make more money or impossible to customize. Kind of like my wife's transmission taking 4.2 liters of fluid. It seems everything nowadays takes .2 or .3 bottles just so you have to buy the extra one. They probably plan on the average person throwing the leftover out or misplacing it...
Off my rant though, how hard would it be to add belly guards like these to a set of D1 sliders? I'm considering stashing an air tank, the evap canister, and a couple other small things next to the frame rail there.

I'll let you know once I get my D2 for R&D. I was going to get a LR3 for R&D, but the Sport has completely turned me off of that model. Not to mention if a seal goes out on the backside of the motor It's a 4-8K repair.... YIKES!!!

So the D2 will be happening now!

Where is the crying emoji....

I was looking forward to the spare tire skid and a tire carrier option.

Pieces are coming back from the powdercoater. Sliders, while a PITA on this RR, they are EXTREMELY solid.

Wind fairing for the rack, aluminum skidplates, and winch plate.

Loving the sliders except one thing. The plate being on the bottom of the outside portion may catch and hold a lot of mud and dirt... in the corners at least

I agree, but a customer wants what they want... I wanted it the way you mentioned, but the customer didn't.

Winch and hidden plate installed. Built the cables for the relocation controls.
