I had to trim length off of each end of the Gates upper radiator hose. It is too long and gets squished against the front valve cover. The heater hose tee is about 2mm larger in diameter making it hard to fit. The Gates lower radiator hose is ok. The upper sucks! Rein’s 2008 BMW 335i molded plastic elbow in the radiator hose had a pin hole in the plastic. It should have failed a basic quality pressure test at the factory. I found out about the leak after replacing and re-filling.
