I think it turned out well. I think if I had to do it over again, I’d have it open toward the front of the truck vs to the side.

I chose to create the flap so it opens in this direction.

I used an xacto/hobby knife but anything sharp will work.

Test fitting my cuts. Notice how the sill area is laying flat as they should. No clips have been used yet. It’s laying flat by itself.

Decently clean cuts. Nice thing abt the hot knife is it seals the edges as it cuts. The exposed white area is the foam sandwiched between the outer mat material.

Testing with all the seats down. No movement. I’m happy now😜

No movement of the mat when the seats are folded. Notice the sill protector is laying flat now. I haven’t used any of the clips that come with the mat yet.

Didn’t like seeing the white foam so I went over it with black sharpie.

Pretty clean cuts. The hot knife seals the edges as it cuts. The white is the foam interior

Looking from the driver side rear door, you can see the black bracket has folded the mat over and distorts the length of protection along the door sill.

How it looks with the seats in the normal upright position. The brackets are on the other side of those “pockets”
